WIRE for Women helps women in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Many of our current Board members are from San Mateo County and we would like to add more Board members who live or work in Santa Clara County. The WIRE for Women Board is a working Board. Each member is expected to participate on one of our committees (Elected Positions, Appointed Positions, Marketing, Board Nominating) or serve as an officer of the Board. We would like to add 2 -4 new Board members this year. WIRE's election for 2021 takes place at the June 14 WIRE Board Meeting. 2020 was a banner year with 67% of all women candidates who ran in Santa Mateo and Santa Clara Counties won their races. WIRE mentored over 60 candidates individually and 10 workshops were conducted with approximately 300 participants. WIRE played an important role in the outcome of the 2020 elections and we are excited to get ready for the 2022 elections as well as the many appointed positions available in 2021. I hope you will consider applying to our amazing Board. The WIRE Board members include Carol Mayer Marshall (Founder and President Emeritus), Shelly Mazur, Liz Kniss, Virginia Chang Kiraly, Emily Lo, Karen Schwarz, Christina Laskowski, Katherine Loarie, Diane Sheardown, Jessica Moore, Vicki Veenker and me. Please address all submissions or questions to: Carol Mayer Marshall Chair, WIRE Nominating Committee Carol@WIREforWomen.com Thank you, Kathy Kathy Anderson WIRE for Women Board President
