Interested in getting more involved in your community? Is there a change you would like to see in your community? A Board or Commission seat is an excellent first step in government leadership!
Each county, city, or town has different boards, commissions, or committees overseeing various subject areas and holds different application processes.
Join WIRE for a moderated panel discussion of what commissions do and how to apply. Panelists will also share their insights on how to prepare for interviews and successfully be appointed.
- What is the role and importance of appointed positions and what is rewarding about serving on appointed positions.
- How does the appointment process work, including where to find vacancies and the qualifications or expectations for appointed positions.
- How to prepare to be successfully appointed including the application paperwork and interview.
